For many people, adopting is
the only way to be parents. In
Israel, the great majority of
adoptions are from Russia. In
this doc, we follow the emo-
tional, unique and complicated
adoption path of different kinds
of families. By sharing their own
experiences, these moms and
dads will enrich the words “Fa-
mily” and “Parenthood” with
new meanings.

ADOPTION DIARIES
Telling what happiness is
around the world sometimes
means to grasp it among the
furthest and hardest stories.
Through seven of those, in-
volving women of our time in
Afghanistan, Mauritania, Paki-
stan, Cambodia, Tajikistan, Ma-
lawi and Vanuatu, “Notes on
Happiness” tells how, despite
violence, war, illness and pover-
ty, little big dreams come true.
Because happiness is a mystery
and grows even where, at first
sight, there is no hope.
