“I spent a lot of money on booze,
birds and fast cars. The rest I just
squandered”. So wrote George
Best, one of the greatest football
players to have ever grace the
world stage and the forerunner of
the rock star persona in football.
His only son Calum has indulged in
many of his famous father’s exces-
ses, but being famous thanks to
a man he barely knew gradually
became really uncomfortable for
him. Calum decides to embark on
a road-trip to discover who his fa-
ther really was through the people
who had known him. This film is
the story of a son searching for a
father. A very famous father, all of
whom know everything, but who
failed to show his true side to his
only son.

MY BEST
2017 marked a century from the
recording of what is historically
considered the first jazz record, but
very few know that it was recor-
ded by a Sicilian emigrant to New
Orleans: Nick La Rocca. The record
sold a million and half copies. Fe-
aturing exclusive interviews to
American music critics, historians
and archivists, as well as amazing
archive picturing New Orleans at
the beginning of the century, Sicily
Jass takes us on a journey through
music and history, telling the story
of the world’s first man in jazz.
