HISTORY
In 1944 Nazis used malaria as
biological weapon in the south
of Rome. A huge scientific expe-
riment, conducted by German
entomologists to halt the Allied
troops and punish the civilians.
More than 50,000 people were
infected, but the only case of
biological warfare in WWII has
remained hidden until now.
With the contribution of histo-
rians, scientists, unseen foota-
ge and documents, this investi-
gative documentary will unveil
an infamous page of history.

MALARIA HITLER’S SECRET WEAPON
They say a picture speaks a
thousand words. This one has
said a lot. This is the picture
that has become the symbol of
the “Years of Lead”, the seven-
ties, when turmoil ruled Italy.
But it’s much more. This pictu-
re tells also the story of an un-
solved murder. The discovery
of a hidden roll of film, shot
from a different angle and hid-
den since 1977 is now rewriting
history. From the dark room
emerges a story of bullets, pho-
tos and broken lives.
