The Old Elephant Route is an
adventure into some of the
world’s most vast, unexplored
wilderness. It follows Prajna
Chowta, a young Indian ethno-
logist, and her two companions,
as they travel by elephant and
on foot over 340 kilometres,
from Assam (India) to Northern
Myanmar to find out whether
migration and essential inter-
breeding of isolated elephant
herds still exists. In this story of
hope and courage, the young
determined woman demon-
strates compassion and com-
mitment, refusing to sit back
and watch a magnificent spe-
cies dying.
