The Old Elephant Route is an adventure into some of
the world’s most vast, unexplored wilderness. It follows
Prajna Chowta, a young Indian ethnologist, and her two
companions, as they travel by elephant and on foot over
340 kilometres, from Assam (India) to Northern Myanmar
to find out whether migration and essential interbreeding
of isolated elephant herds still exists. In this story of hope
and courage, the young determined woman demonstrates
compassion and commitment, refusing to sit back and
watch a magnificent species dying.
