ETTORE
SPALLETTI
We meet the great Italian artist Ettore Spalletti, known for his Minimalist installations
of paintings and sculptures, in his everyday world – methodical and contemplative –
of the places where he lives – Pescara, his home in Spoltore, his studio in Cappelle
sul Tavo, the abbeys and the mountains, the sea and the sky of Abruzzo – and of
his public image at numerous solo exhibitions in the world’s leading galleries and
museums. A number of different voices, including those of the art historian Germano
Celant, the Jesuit father Andrea Dall’Asta, Andrew Leslie Heyward, director of the
Marian Goodman Gallery, and the gallery owners Lia Rumma and his niece Benedetta
Spalletti, build up a personal and artistic portrait of the artist.

BERGMAN & MAGNANI
THE WAR OF
VOLCANOES
This is the story of the biggest jet-set
love scandal of all times, starring Roberto
Rossellini, Ingrid Bergman, Anna Magnani
and the primitive nature of the Aeolian
Islands. The islands are at the same time
the set for the movie “Vulcano” with Anna
Magnani, who has just been abandoned by
DIRECTOR(S) Roberto Rossellini, and for the
movie “Stromboli, Terra di Dio” that will lead
to the artistic and love relationship between
Ingrid Bergman and Rossellini. “The War of
the Volcanoes” is a story of wrath, suffering
and love and at the same time the story of
Stromboli a God-forgotten land, that, for the
time of the filming, becomes the center of the
world.

LEONARDO, THE MAN
WHO SAVED SCIENCE
Leonardo was an extraordinary
artist and inventor.
But researchers have discovered,
in ancient manuscripts, drawings
and treatises that prefigure many
of his inventions.
Coincidence or plagiarism?
Or was Leonardo a savior of long
lost information?
This is the story of the making of a
scientist who sought out scientific
knowledge lost to Europe in the
Dark Ages and helped launch a
new scientific age.
