DECODING
DANTE
He’s one of the most famous Italians of all time and his Divine
Comedy certainly one of the most quoted pieces of literature ever.
And yet it seems that many surprises are hiding between the rhyming
tercets: for example the poet’s frequentation of sects and groups of
various kinds such as “The Faithful of Love”. In this way not only do
we discover traces that link Dante to the Knights Templar but also
how the structure of the Divine Comedy recalls a certain Arabic work
which Dante probably knew of in an in direct way.
THE DARK SIDE
OF RENAISSANCE
THE MYSTERIES
OF MARY
Stories of an
extraordinary life
Renaissance was not only a period of
unprecedented development in all fields, from
economy to arts and science, but also an era
marked by intrigue and conspiracies that involved
the courts of the aristocratic families that ruled
some of themain italian city fromFlorence toMilan
or Rome. In this five part series, we will discover
some of the most controversial episodes that
marked the time’s chronicles, and we will reveal
the secrets of the most talked-about characters
of Renaissance, from Leonardo’s Monna Lisa to
the famous painter Caravaggio.
What do we really know about the most
venerated woman in history? What does the
figure of Mary represent both in the Christian and
Muslim religion? Are the Gospels the only lead
to know more about her biography? Through
reconstructions and the help of anthropologists,
biblicists and theologians, we will try to shed light
on the mysteries of Maria.
