EATING HISTORY
THE STORY OF ITALY
ON A PLATE
In this series, Historian John Dickie takes us on a romp through Italy to tell its history through its food.
He will expose the secrets of pasta’s origins and pizza’s near death; how lavish cuisine determined
papal elections and the fate of dynasties, why Mussolini put the country on a diet, and how an
American scientist put Italian food on the world map.
CAMORRA
Fascism is a story made of violence,
repression, political agreements and
contradictions. But almost a century after
the rise to power of fascism, there are still
aspects shrouded in mystery. For the first
time, we tell the story of the ambivalent
relationship between fascism and Masonry,
revealing the anti-Masonic obsession
developed by Mussolini and the violent
repression that ensued.
During the fascist regime Freemasonry
was outlawed, for the first time in Europe.
Its temples devastated and its members
persecuted, arrested and killed.

IN UTERO
SREBRENICA
20 years after the Srebrenica’s
genocide, Munira still digs the earth
bare-handed to recover the bones of
his son, killed during the massacre.
Hajra found a skull and ever since
she is convinced it belongs to his
son. These are some of the stories
of Srebrenica’s Muslim mothers.
Not even landmines frighten them.
Although over two decades have
gone by, they will never cease to
suffer. Finding even the smallest trace
of their loved ones is the only way for
these mothers to heal their pain.

ATHENS BLUES
Athens Blues takes us through the cultural heart
of the Greek metropolis. We will get to know
the politicians, the artists, the outcasts and the
migrants that, day though day, have been facing
social experiments, hard sacrifices and a political
revolution. Because what Greece has gone
through isn’t just an economic crisis, but rather
the entire cultural model of the Modern Western
World breaking up. Crisis, which comes from
Greek, literally means to stop, hold and think.
And that’s exactly what Greece has done: trying
to understand which path to take.
